The fair, to be focused on pure watchmaking craftsmanship, will provide its visitors with a great opportunity to meet the exhibiting watchmakers, talk to them and experience their latest timekeeping creations. The watch producers will be glad to share their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with avid watch fans.
The event will also include 'round table meetings' devoted to specific subjects, watch seminars and the issue of recognizing counterfeit watches.
According to Ernie Romers, Watchuseek.com director and owner, and one of the organizers of the fair, Watch2008, to exhibit the independent watch brands, is something we lack in the Benelux and even in all of Europe.
On the list of independent and innovative watch brands to be presented at the fair you will find the following names: ACE, Anonimo, Archimede, Aristo Vollmer, Blancier, D.Dornbluth und Soehne, Cyclos, Fifth Avenue, Golay Spierer, Hentschel Hamburg, Limes, Jorg Schauer and Stowa, JS Watch co., Kadloo, Kremke Watch Co., Kudoke, Marcello C., MKII Corp., Pierre Junod, Pita, Rainer Nienaber, Steffen, Svend Andersen, Thomas Ninchritz and Quadtec.
Castle Hoogenweerth, located at the banks of the river Maas on a peninsula, is surrounded by water and is very close to the German and Belgian border. The romantic surroundings of the castle will provide not only glamour but also 100 per cent privacy for all the participants of the event. The castle’s grounds offer 450 parking places.
Tickets for Watch2008 are EUR 35.00, including food and beverage, with discounts applied till 1 October.
