The model features an 18-carat gold case - 39mm x 11.5. Both front and back sides of the new Voutilainen watch are fitted with sapphire crystals. Treated with glare-proofed coating, the top glass covers an engine-turned silver dial.
Completed with gold-applied Roman numerals and gold hands, it ensures central hours and minutes. The small seconds are shown in a counter at 6 o’clock. Between 10 and 11 o’clock, the new Voutilainen Vingt-8 watch also offers a 24-hour display with day and night indications.
Breathing life into the functions is an in-house movement, developed and assembled within the manufacture. Its originality lies in two escapement wheels. Made of rose gold, they give a direct impulse to the balance through the impulse roller/jewel.
The mechanism incorporates a main plate and bridges produced from German silver. Built on 21 jewels, the movement runs at the rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour and supplies a 50-hour power reserve.
Keeping the new Voutilainen watch secured to the wearer’s wrist is a hand-sewn crocodile leather strap, which joins to an 18-carat gold buckle.
