Vogard Delivers Datezoner Watch

Jun 27, 2011
An expert in the field of world time watches, the house of Vogard delivers its new Datezoner watch. Behind its daring design lies an amazing combination of date, time-zone and timekeeping functions.

The new Vogard watch comes packaged in a 48mm case. It is crafted from titanium carbide, which is lightweight, hypoallergenic and corrosion-resistant. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 50 meters.

The originality of the case lies in an unconventional position of its winding crown and chronograph pushers. The crown is featured at 6 o’clock, while the pushers reside at 4 and 8 o’clock.

The top of the case is protected by an anti-reflective, inside and outside curved sapphire crystal. The glass is held in place by an 18kt gold or black steel bezel, marked with the names of 24 capitals and major cities.

For the city corresponding to the required time-zone to appear at 12 o'clock, the user should open the locking lever at the side of the case and rotate the bezel. Then, the lever is closed and the watch starts indicating the local time.

The new Vogard Datezoner watch comes equipped with a dial, influenced by a speedometer and revcounter layout. It ensures central hours and minutes. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 12 o’clock. The chronograph functions are presented through a central seconds hand as well as 12-hour and 30-minute counters, located at 9 and 3 o’clock respectively.

The undeniable highlight of the display is a date exhibition window at 6 o’clock. It is covered by a day/night disc, which contributes to the readability of the indication. The date is adjusted by means of the bezel and is synchronised with the time-zones and the cities on its surface.

Animating the functions is a 38mm automatic movement, which incorporates a miniature high-tech clutch and a complex gear train. It runs at the rate of 28, 800 vibrations per hour and supplies a power reserve of 1.5 days.

The new Vogard men's watch is coupled with an elegant strap, made of rubber of alligator leather.
