Bell & Ross Presents Vintage PW1 and WW1 Watches

Sep 27, 2011
The Bell & Ross watch family welcomes two newcomers inspired by the brand’s military watches of the 1920s - the Vintage PW1 pocket watch (PW1 standing for Pocket Watch 1) and the WW1 wristwatch(WW1 standing for Wrist Watch 1).

The new Bell & Ross watches have smartly united vintage style with the brand’s signature design. In the 1920s, the Bell & Ross company produced military watches for pilots. The new models pay tribute to the first models born during this period.

The Vintage PW1 pocket watch features a 49mm case crafted from polished steel. The domed dial is created in galvanic black, demonstrating a sunburst finish. The hour markers, numerals and hands are provided with a luminous coating for perfect readability under any light conditions. The dial is shielded by an anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal. The heart of the timepiece is a manual winding movement - ETA 6497.

The case of the Vintage WW1 wristwatch, 45mm in diameter, is also rendered in polished steel. The lugs of the case are worth special attention – with their ends welded to the case, they have a central section that represents a spring bar, so you can easily change the strap.

The Vintage watch is animated by is an ETA 2897 movement that offers a power reserve function. The same as with the PW1, the WW1 shows off a galvanic black dial completed with luminescent indexes, numerals and hands and protected by an anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal. The case is coupled with a black alligator strap.

Both Vintage watches are expected to be available at the price of 4,500 US dollars.
