The heart of the new Blancpain watch is a self-winding movement built from 324 parts - the 5235DF caliber. The mechanism, elaborated by the Manufacture Blancpain in le Brassus, incorporates a triple series-coupled barrel system to guarantee a remarkable 8-day power-reserve and the stable rating.
The balance of the movement is crafted in titanium. The brand’s watchmakers opted for this material as its light weight enhances energy efficiency and it boasts supreme resistance to changes in temperature. The titanium balance provides highly precise operation adjusted by the brand’s micrometric screw system.
The grand feu enamelled white dial features painted hour-markers. The reference time is displayed at 12 o’clock, while the half-hour timezone is shown in the centre. At 9 o’clock, you will notice the day/night indicator for the reference time. The date function is presented via a small window at 6 o’clock. The dial has - the date change or timezone indication.
The head of the crown is fitted with a special pusher to be used for selecting fast date correction or half-timezone adjustment mode. The selected mode is shown by the 4 o’clock indicator.
When the watch owner corrects the reference time, the second timezone time is automatically modified.
The 42 mm case of the Blancpain Villeret Demi-Fuseau Horaire 8 Jours watch is sculptured from white or red gold. The sapphire crystal case-back shows off the beauty of the guilloche-decorated oscillating weight. The case is teamed with an alzavel-lined alligator leather strap.
