In 2011, Hysek unveils its first automatic chronograph watch created in-house in Lussy-sur-Morges.
The new Hysek watch, christened Verdict Chrono, is best described as powerful, perfectly-balanced and absolutely urban. It will be available in a limited edition of just 30 pieces.
The steel round case demonstrates architected lines. It is coupled with a hand-sewn alligator leather strap. The Verdict Chrono watch is animated by a new-generation automatic-winding movement - Hysek HW40. The in-house chronograph movement incorporates a home-made column wheel and boasts high-end finishing with manually created bevelling, Cote de Geneve finishing and circular graining under the gears cut specifically for the brand.
The movement, operating at a frequency of 28, 800 vibrations per hour, is built from 306 parts and 43 jewels. The zest of the dial is a decorative oscillating weight found in parallel to the element visible via the sapphire on the case-back. It contributes to the efficiency of the equipment of the barrel due to a high weight, and provides supreme operational autonomy to the chronograph with a direct-drive winding by the push-buttons framing the crown.
The dial is completed with oversized Roman numerals. The small seconds counter is positioned at 9 o’clock, while the minutes counter is at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflection treatment.
The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.
The new Hysek Verdict Chrono will be unveiled at BaselWorld 2011.
