The new Vangarde watch captures attention with its skeletonized black dial with contrasting hour and minute-markers. Taking care of central hours and minutes are oversized transparent asymmetrically fitted hands, inlaid with Superluminova.
The sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position registers 60 seconds. Providing chronograph features are a 30-minute sub-dial at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock as well as a central seconds hand. The chronograph functions are controlled by push-pieces at 2 and 4 o’clock. Similar to the winding crown at 3 o’clock, they are designed in a Clous de Paris style.
The new Vangarde Tempo Theorie watch accommodates an automatic Calibre V1 movement, based on ETA Valjoux 7750. Built on 29 jewels, it is endowed with a Nivaflex spring, a Glucydur balance wheel and an Incabloc shock protection system. The caliber supplies a 48-hour power reserve. Its decorative elements include black galvanized treatment, rhodium plating as well as polished and Cotes de Geneve adorned surfaces.
The movement can be admired through a sapphire crystal screw-down case-back. The top of the matte steel case is covered by a double-sided glare-proofed sapphire crystal, held in place by a polished steel bezel. The case measurements are 42mm x 13.9mm: diameter and thickness indicated respectively. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 100 meters.
The new Vangarde watch is teamed with a black Louisiana alligator leather strap with a lining made of calf skin. It terminates in a steel butterfly buckle. The model is offered in a limited edition of 88 individually numbered pieces.
