Vacheron Constantin unveils its new Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds watch. The model has been created as a tribute to the brand’s watches born in the period from the 1930s to the 1950s. It captures the glance by its pure lines and harmonious proportions.

The 950 platinum case, 38 mm in diameter, demonstrates an elegantly slender profile. It incorporates a thin bezel and a fluted screw-down case-back with a sapphire crystal window.

The slate grey dial is completed with applied 18K white gold hour-markers and dauphine hands. It is framed by a painted white minute circle clearly standing out against the dark background. The small seconds are displayed at 6 o’clock.

It is remarkable that the new Vacheron Constantin watch corresponds to the requirements of the Poinçon de Genève,the highly prestigious hallmark confined not only to the movement, but the whole finished timepiece.

The Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds is animated by the hand-wound Vacheron Constantin 4400 movement. The finishing and conception of the mechanism reflect its superlative craftsmanship. Oscillating at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the 127-part, 21-jewel movement provides the functions of hours, minutes and small seconds. It gives an advantage of a 65-hour power reserve.

The main flat surfaces of the movement are embellished with a meticulous “Côtes de Genève” pattern. The angles and the screw heads are bevelled and hand-polished.

The new Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds watch is delivered on a black Mississipiensis alligator leather strap fitted with a 950 platinum pin buckle.

The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.

The men’s model demonstrates the balanced asymmetry strictly following the proportions of the golden section. For example, the dimension of the longest case side, divided by the sapphire crystal length on the opposite side, equals 1.618 – the famous golden section, the principles of which were used in the creation of the greatest successes in the field of art and architecture.

The case of the novelty is sculptured in polished white gold, accommodating a precious ultra-thin mechanical hand-wound movement.

The same as the historic model, the new Vacheron Constantin watch stands out by its elegance and harmonious proportions. The 1972 Prestige features a cambered profile matching the arched dial and sapphire crystal. The grey satin-finished sunburst dial is embellished with subtle chevron motifs. The time is indicated by two 18K pink gold dauphine hands.

The heart of the watch is Vacheron Constantin’s Calibre 1003. Introduced in 1955, the legendary caliber represents the thinnest mechanical hand-wound movement on the market. It is highly appreciated in the world of exclusive watchmaking as one of the most beautiful and complicated ultra-thin movements. The mechanism is just 1.64 mm thick. It is constructed from 117 parts and operating at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. It gives an advantage of a 30-hour power reserve.

The finishing of the movement has become even more sophisticated if compared to its versions belonging to the early days. Its components are embellished with the Côtes de Genève motif, circular grained and beveled. Now, its bridges and plate are crafted from 18K gold.

Vacheron Constantin unveils its new Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time watch. The timepiece is animated by the new Calibre 2460WT crowned by the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva.

The new mechanical self-winding movement, elaborated and manufactured by the Manufacture, allows the watch to indicate the 37 time-zones of the world, among which there are the time-zones offset from Universal Coordinated Time (UCT) by a half - or quarter-hour. The exclusive mechanism was patented by the brand.

The Vacheron Constantin specialists wanted to develop a mechanical movement that would allow the timepiece feature the time not only in the full time zones, but also the partial ones, keeping the watch’s owner aware of the exact temporal reality in the 37 time zones. It should be mentioned that there are countries that adopted a half-hour or quarter-hour difference from UTC.

The Swiss watch manufacture Vacheron Constantin is about to release its new horological masterpiece - the Quai de l’Ile Retrograde Annual Calendar watch.

Launched in 2008, the original Quai de I’Ile timepiece was enthusiastically received by the discerning audience. Then, the public could enjoy the Day-Date Self Winding and Day-Date with Power Reserve versions of this model. Now, the line is joined by a stunning timepiece equipped with a Retrograde Annual Calendar complication.

The aforementioned retrograde date indicator is found on an extremely legible dial, which can be dressed in different colors. The calendar, which requires correction once a year, is located on a segment, extending from 2 to 5 o’clock.

The display of the new Vacheron Constantin watch is visually balanced by a moon-phase indicator, which needs to be manually corrected just once per 122 years.

Vacheron Constantin is happy to deliver its new one-of-a-kind Dove watch. Specially manufactured for Only Watch 2011, it carries on the Metiers d’Art tradition, which successfully unites applied arts and creative horology.

The inspiration behind the new Vacheron Constantin watch is a drawing by a Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher. The novelty is set in a 40mm case in 18-carat white gold.

The new Calibre 2253 was created by the brand’s engineering department. The development of the movement required more than several thousands of hours. It provides such sophisticated functions as a perpetual calendar, the equation of time and the times of sunrise and sunset. Moreover, it incorporates a tourbillon escapement.

Although boasting the amazing mechanical complexity, the Calibre 2253 provides a remarkable power reserve – about 336 hours (equal to 14 days). It became possible due to two pairs of coupled barrels. The power reserve is visible via a sapphire-crystal case-back.
