The polished tonneau-shaped case of the Malte Tonneau Chronograph is crafted in 18K pink or white gold. It measures 40mm across. The face of the elegant timepiece is protected by a sapphire crystal provided with anti-reflective coating.
The 18K gold dial reveals a guilloche section in the center, a grained peripheral area, and snailed sub-dials for the chronograph function. The hands of the watch are worth special attention – they are sword-shaped and crafted from gold. They are polished on one side, and frosted on the other. As for the chronograph hands, they are also made from gold, but are oxidized, thus acquiring black finish. You will notice the gold pyramid-shaped markers at the five-minute intervals.
The Vacheron Constantin Malte Tonneau Chronograph accommodates a finely decorated automatic chronograph movement – 1137 caliber. The 37-jewel movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It gives an advantage of a 40-hour power reserve.
The dial of the Vacheron Constantin watch is characterized by utmost legibility. The timepiece features the hour and minutes in the center, small seconds at 6 o’clock and the chronograph function presented via the 12-hour and 30-minute counters at 9 and 3 o’clock respectively and the seconds hand in the center. The large date window is found at 12 o’clock.
The watch boasts 30-meter water-resistance.
The Vacheron Constantin Malte Tonneau Chronograph is presented on an elegant hand-stitched alligator leather strap fitted with an 18K folding clasp shaped as a half Maltese cross.
