Inspired by the Phoenix, rising from the flames, the new Urwerk watch is proposed in a polished white gold case - 50mm x 36mm x 13.5mm. It is hand-decorated by the master engraver Jean-Vincent Huguenin. The case is submersible down to 3 atm.
The front of the model is protected by a sapphire crystal with glare-proofed coating. The back-side, meanwhile, is rendered in titanium and coated with PECVD (Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition) treatment.
The bottom boasts a control board, equipped with a power-reserve indicator. It also reveals 15-minute and 60-second dials, which ensure precise time setting. Moreover, the control board is fitted with a fine tuning screw, which enables the user to adjust the model’s timing +/- 30 seconds per day.
Inside the new Urwerk UR-103 Phoenix watch is hidden a hand-wound UR 3.03 caliber movement. It incorporates a circular-grained and rhodium-plated base plate and a single mainspring barrel, which ensures a 36-hour power reserve. The caliber operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
A symbol of incredible resistance, the novelty offers a wandering hour indication on a four-arm carousel. The latter is sand-blasted and satin-finished. The time is shown by the orbiting hour satellites as they pass the arc of the minutes. The hours and minutes scales are inlaid with luminous compound. The display is controlled by a two-position winding crown.
The new Urwerk watch is teamed with a black leather strap.
