Talented Belgian golfer Nicolas Vanhootegem has become a new brand ambassador of Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, having strengthened the manufacture's continuous association with the sport of golf.

Vanhootegem will represent Audemars Piguet will with other most famous golf players, with Nick Faldo, Vijay Singh, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Lee Westwood, Darren Clarcke, Thomas Levet, and Nora Angehrn on the list.

Nicolas Vanhootegem has been photographed wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph. Since 1972, the Royal Oak watch collection has symbolized sporty haute horlogerie, having won the hearts of many watch lovers. Today, it holds the place of one of Audemars Piguet's best-sellers.

New Tissot Michael Owen Watch

In 2008, Tissot and Michael Owen celebrate their 10 years of successful collaboration. On the occasion of an exciting match between Newcastle United and Chelsea in Newcastle, Tissot President, Mr. Francois Thiebaud, presented the world-famous footballer with the Number 10 of the Limited Edition watch developed in his honor. '10' is also Michael's national team number.

The watch, to be launched in a limited edition of 4,999 pieces, mixes classic design with sophisticated chronograph functionality and 200-meter water resistance. The 10 o'clock digit features one of the chronograph counters accommodated in the zero. A lucky red team stripe also cuts down the side of the silver dial. The color red is echoed around the bezel to be used for measuring the time remaining in the match. Atlantic Watch SA is considered to be the pioneer in the sphere of water-resistant timepieces. Audemars Piguet presented its first Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello chronograph in 2006 to pay tribute to the achievements of the famous Brazilian racing driver.

Now the brand is unveiling a new exclusive timepiece made especially to honor the Brazilian champion. The watch has inherited the key features of the Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello collection.

The unique design, inspired by the world of motor racing, reflects F1 finesse and fine watchmaking. The bezel of the Audemars Piguet watch is adorned with 8 screws reminding engine screws. The bezel joint is in the image of a ventilated disc brake, while the strap attachments feature the shape of pedals. The crown makes one think of a gear cog and push-pieces are shaped as an air extractor.

The pink-gold case is blended with titanium studs, push-pieces and crown protector. The watch back features the inscription 'R. Barrichello – 257 – New Grand Prix Record', the Rubens Barrichello logo and name of the timepiece.

American luxury watchmaking brand RGM has launched its Professional Diver Model 300/Series 1 watch in a limited edition of just 100 pieces for 2008. The RGM sports watch is created to correspond to the demanding criteria of a true diving instrument.

The 43.2mm stainless steel case of the RGM watch has incorporated a screw-down winding crown, and a screw-locked case-back, as well as extremely strong 5mm-thick sapphire crystal, to allow the watch to safely descend to a depth of 2,500 feet.

The black dial, either matte or glossy, features bold luminous hour markers and hands for perfect readability. A counter-clockwise rotating bezel with 240 ratcheted clicks is developed to provide safe calculation of diving times. Bold knurling on the bezel edge allows a firm grasp with slippery hands or when wearing dive gloves.

This gadget watch appeared as a result of cooperation of the Seiko Watch Company, the Seiko Epson and the E Ink Company. It has a display made of electronic paper. The creators of the watch managed to unite in one gadget electronic paper and a watch mechanism.

The watch looks like a bracelet about 3.5 cm wide. The paper itself is 9 cm x 3 cm - a pretty big screen showing the time. On the bottom of the paper screen there are cool equalizer-like puzzles flashing and changing the shape. It looks really cool when you look at it.
