The successful partnership the JeanRichard Watch Manufacture and the MV Agusta motorcycle make have inspired the Chronoscope 'Brutale' collection. 'Brutale', meaning extreme virility and power in Italian, is the name of the two emblematic lines of MV Agusta motorbikes.
The JeanRichard 'Chronoscope' collection has inherited the distinctive features of the Brutale motorcycle. The new considerably sized 43mm case is clothed in a highly resistant rubber. The dial clad in carbon fibre shows off three counters suggested by the motorcycle dashboard. Red accents match the classic colours of MV Agusta motorbikes.
The masculine models in the collection accommodate the famous hand-decorated JR1000 proprietary movement that visible through the tinted glass exhibition back decorated with the MV Agusta logo.

The Vintage Portofino Hand-Wound watch pays tribute to the brand's famous Ref. 5251 watch, produced in limited numbers in the late 1990s. Formex introduces a new distinctively designed watch for racing car enthusiasts - the Grand Prix GP 997. The angled case has the winding-mechanism placed at 12 o'clock.
Constructors of planes and racing cars were the first to discover the properties of the titanium alloy and to use it for constructing highly stressed but light parts. Formex has constructed a 49mm titanium and steel case, which also features 18K rose gold.

American luxury watchmaking brand RGM has launched its Professional Diver Model 300/Series 1 watch in a limited edition of just 100 pieces for 2008. The RGM sports watch is created to correspond to the demanding criteria of a true diving instrument.
The 43.2mm stainless steel case of the RGM watch has incorporated a screw-down winding crown, and a screw-locked case-back, as well as extremely strong 5mm-thick sapphire crystal, to allow the watch to safely descend to a depth of 2,500 feet.
The black dial, either matte or glossy, features bold luminous hour markers and hands for perfect readability. A counter-clockwise rotating bezel with 240 ratcheted clicks is developed to provide safe calculation of diving times. Bold knurling on the bezel edge allows a firm grasp with slippery hands or when wearing dive gloves.
The RGM sports watch is equipped with an ETA 2892-A2, a self-winding automatic movement, assuring excellent performance and reliability.

Hublot introduced its luxury watches into the world of football in 2007, having signed a partnership with EURO 2008. Today, the watchmaker has designed the timepiece to celebrate this competition.
The new Big Bang EURO 2008 is equipped with a special 'half time' movement, with a 45-minute chronograph. The watch has been designed to time the football match periods and the 15 minutes of extra time shown on the counter. It will be available in limited series of 2008 pieces.
The watch is crafted in black ceramic and rubber. The inside of the strap reveals a red strip stamped 'UEFA EURO 2008'. The Euro trophy is engraved on the back.

This gadget watch appeared as a result of cooperation of the Seiko Watch Company, the Seiko Epson and the E Ink Company. It has a display made of electronic paper. The creators of the watch managed to unite in one gadget electronic paper and a watch mechanism.
The watch looks like a bracelet about 3.5 cm wide. The paper itself is 9 cm x 3 cm - a pretty big screen showing the time. On the bottom of the paper screen there are cool equalizer-like puzzles flashing and changing the shape. It looks really cool when you look at it.

At Baselworld 2008, Zenith has unveiled a new Mega Port Royal Tourbillon. The watch reveals a tourbillon through a dial aperture, while the dial itself is covered with a grill, as though the creators of the timepiece wanted to put up an obstacle to admiring the complication.
The idea might have been suggested by the early wristwatches developed for soldiers in the first World War, with the grill protecting the glass crystal, or some of the earlier Cartier Pasha watches. For the third year in a row, IWC offers its support to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. The Schaffhausen-based watchmaking company has created a special limited edition of the Da Vinci Chronograph. The case back of the watch reveals an engraving of a winning entry from an IWC drawing competition. The drawing, depicting a group of girls playing handball, was created by 15-year-old Heena Javed Shaikh from India.
Part of the proceeds from the sales of the 1,000 pieces of the Da Vinci Chronograph will be donated to support the Foundation's projects aimed to benefit more than 150,000 children worldwide.

Imagine George Clooney with a watchmaking loupe on his eye and wearing a white lab coat. The famous actor, one of Omega's worldwide brand ambassadors, posed for a set of photographs for the "Watchmakers Wanted" campaign held by the brand. The campaign is aimed at recruiting skilled applicants for building careers with the watch brand.
The photographs, depicting George Clooney in a moment of intense concentration, were shot by celebrated photojournalist Greg Williams. In a subsequent interview George Clooney commented that the Omega watchmakers were quite surprised to see the actor putting three or four of the watches together.
