The new Casio G-Shock Gulfman GW-9100 has recently joined Casio's G-Shock line.

The watch features a titanium shock-resistant case, 46 mm in diameter, and titanium case back, being lighter and more corrosion-resistant than stainless steel G-Shock models.

The solar-powered watch, equipped with a reliable quartz movement, is 200-meter water-resistant.

de GRISOGONO offered support to the non-profit organization 'Against Lysosomal Diseases'. The company took part in a Ladies Lunch held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Geneva.

The organization 'Against Lysosomal Diseases' holds research to fight rare neuro-generative genetic infections affecting a lot of Swiss children. Proceeds from the event are used to get supplies to children suffering from the diseases.

At the entrance of Beau Rivage Hotel, the ballroom was nicely decorated with showcases featuring the newest collections of de GRISOGONO jewelry, watches and hand bags.

More than 300 ladies attended the event with the only man of the afternoon, Fawaz Gruosi, de GRISOGONO President and Founder.

Omega Takes George Clooney's Photos in Laglio

Villa Oleandra is the name of George Clooney's home in the village of Laglio located on the shore of Lake Como in northern Italy. The Oscar-winning actor also owns an old factory connected to the villa. There the actor has a private office and creates his professional projects.

The Omega team was invited to Laglio to take photos of the famous star, intending to take some of the photos in the factory. The old factory, a working space of the actor, is comfortably furnished. The place is also provided with a pinball machine and a collection of old railway clocks, each featuring time in a different time zone.

The story of George Clooney's relationship to Omega watches goes back to his childhood. As a child, the imagination of the actor and his friends was captured by the space race. The Omega Company had been closely associated with America's space program. George Clooney recalls that he and his friends had drawn Omega logos on their own watches. In 1969, the year of the first lunar landing, George's uncle sent him his first Omega watch. Now George Clooney is the brand's Ambassador, wearing Omega watches.

In 2008, the Rolex Company continues to act as the major sponsor of the prestigious Giraglia Cup, a famous Mediterranean distance race. The race will start in St. Tropez, France. The competitors will be moving through the scenic Iles d'Hyeres and across the sea, then past the Giraglia Rock off of northern Corsica, and on to Genoa, Italy where the regatta will finish. Altogether, they will cover 243 nautical miles.

The Giraglia Cup was initiated in 1952. The first race was organized in July, 1953 with 22 yachts taking part.
