Wyler Geneve Creates Unique Tourbillon WT3

In 2009, Wyler Geneve is proud to unveil its new sophisticated timekeeping creation – the Tourbillon WT3. The timepiece accommodates a hand-wound skeleton movement with a flying tourbillon.

The WT3 tourbillon boasts an exclusive decoration created with help of an innovative proprietary material developed by the brand. The development of the material required two years and was based on the brand’s rich experience in the field of laser technology.

The production method of the fragile material is kept a strict secret. Yet, Wyler Geneve reports that a solid and irregular sheet of silicium is subject to 11 consecutive procedures and treatments, including layer depositions, coloration by means of precious material etc. As a result, the initial material is gradually transformed into remarkably precise components within tolerances of 1/100th of a millimeter.

The composite is used for the decoration of flat surfaces, and is just perfect for the decoration of bridges of the movement. It is important to mention that each crystallization is different, implying that each decoration and consequently each WT3 tourbillon is unique.

The case of the Wyler Tourbillon WT3 watch, 42mm in diameter, is crafted in black ceramic or 18K white gold and is fitted with four titanium screws. The case middle is produced from carbon fiber and incorporates two sapphire crystals. As for the inner movement case, it is crafted from titanium and suspended on four independent shock absorbers.

The case construction of the is water resistant to 100 meters. The crown, crafted in titanium or 18K white gold, is coated with natural rubber and embellished with a stylized design motif. The crown is provided with a special protector from DLC-coated steel or 18K white gold, featuring the engraved Wyler logo.

The dial of the Wyler Geneve luxury watch is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The screw-on case-back crafted in ceramic or 18K white gold reveals a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal aperture that allows to admire the beauty of the movement.

The movement gives an advantage of a 72-hour power reserve.

The Wyler Geneve Tourbillon WT3 watch is delivered on ahe brand’s signature rubber strap fitted with an elegant fold-over clasp. The timepiece is housed in a top-quality watch box designed liked a vintage car toolkit.
