Named after its devilish exterior, the new Ulysse Nardin watch strikes the eye with its clean lines and unusual design. It boasts distinctive horns and a black cloak-like backdrop.
The model is delivered in a 44.5mm stainless steel case. It features an engraving on its side and a plate with an “Only Watch” inscription at 6 o’clock. The case is outlined by a blue lacquered bezel. The latter encircles an open-worked dial with black and charcoal tones.
The face of the new Ulysse Nardin Freak Diavolo Only Watch is equipped with 12 Arabic numerals. The special attention getter of the display is a tourbillon mechanism, featured at 8 o’clock. It incorporates a patented hairspring, made of silicum. The same material is employed in the manufacturing of the majority of the escapement.
Completing one rotation per minute, the flying tourbillon also serves as a seconds indicator. The seconds can be read off from an arrow, attached to the tourbillon cage, and a half circle, dressed in blue. The orbit accomplishes one revolution per hour.
The hand-wound toutbillon movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and ensures more than 8 days of power reserve.
The caliber is activated by turning the lower bezel. One full rotation ensures 12 hours of power reserve. The upper bezel, meanwhile, is responsible for adjusting the time.
An elegant crocodile leather strap completes the features of the new Ulysse Nardin watch.
