Ulysse Nardin Black Sea Watch - Created for Divers

Mar 15, 2011
The Swiss timepiece maker Ulysse Nardin takes the wraps off its new Black Sea watch, created for those who love to explore the sea bed.

The new Ulysse Nardin watch is delivered with a 45.8 mm case. It is crafted from stainless steel treated by vulcanization process with a matte-black rubber coating.

The case is outlined by a unidirectional rotating bezel with a diving scale. The bezel is embellished with a wave pattern. The same motif is featured on the dial and the strap.

The model is 200-meter water-resistant. On its front side, the new Ulysse Nardin Black Sea watch is armed with a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The open case-back, also fitted with a sapphire glass, offers a remarkable view of a self-winding caliber UN-26 movement. Adorned with 28 jewels, it provides a 42-hour power reserve.

The movement breathes life into the functions, presented on a black dial. It tells the time through hour-markers as well as hour and minute hands.

All the elements are treated with luminous compound. The power-reserve indicator is found at 12 oclock. It is counterbalanced by the small seconds counter at 6 oclock. Inside the lower counter is nestled an oversized date aperture.

The new Ulysse Nardin diving watch is teamed with a black rubber strap, which includes ceramic components and is closed with a ceramic folding clasp.
