Maintaining the tradition of St. Valentine’s Day, celebrating the day of love and lovers, Blancpain
presents its new Ultraplate Saint Valentin 2013 lady’s watch
. The novelty is clearly inspired by the universal symbol of love – the red heart.
The white mother-of-pearl dial
of the Blancpain watch
is graced by diamond hour-markers. It immediately catches the glance by five red-lacquered mother-of-pearl marquetry hearts that stand out due to their generous volume. You will also notice another fine detail - the seconds hand features a counterweight shaped as the Blancpain logo.
The stainless steel case
, 34 mm in diameter, incorporates a bezel paved with two rows of full-cut diamonds. The case holds another surprise – its middle is embellished with five liquid ceramic hearts. The creation of the hearts required the use of a sophisticated technique – the watchmakers had to meticulously apply the liquid matter and, then, subjected it to a firing process for solidifying it.
The heart of the lady’s watch is a mechanical self-winding movement
- Calibre 1150
. Besides the hours, minutes and seconds, the 28-jewel movement provides the date function and gives an advantage of a 100-hour power reserve
. The sapphire crystal case-back reveals the rotor also decorated with red hearts.
The new Blancpain Ultraplate Saint Valentin 2013 lady’s watch
will gently embrace a female wrist with a seamless white ostrich leather strap with an alzavel lining.
The new St. Valentine watch is available in a limited edition of 99 pieces
. It is delivered in a white wooden presentation box encrusted with white hearts.
The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant
