Meet Gerge Type M - Metropolis Watches

Sep 13, 2010
With its head office located in Neuchatel, Switzerland, the new horological company Gerge focuses on manufacturing high-end watches of utmost accuracy and unprecedented workmanship.

The brands newest brainchild is the superb Type M - Metropolis collection.

It embraces three main interpretations: the Type M3 automatic-chrono COSC with mono push-button and date; the Type M2 automatic-chrono movement and date, as well as the Type M automatic day/date.

The inspiration for the models was found in non-traditional vision of urban architecture, presented in the famous Fritz Lang film - Metropolis.

Each new Gerge watch is proposed with a round-shaped case, which measures 45 mm in diameter. It is rendered in stainless steel, titanium or rose gold and titanium alloys.

The case of every Type M - Metropolis watch stands out due its remarkable 15-piece construction. It also catches the eye by its impressive unconventional lugs.

The timekeepers show off perfectly balanced dials, performed in black. The displays are embellished with vertical Cotes de Geneve patterns.

The dials are completed with large Arabic numerals and stylish central hour, minute and second hands, gliding smoothly over them. The displays also comprise chronograph counters and day/date apertures.

The new models come fitted with a black pure genuine leather strap or a leather strap with stitching edges.

Reflecting the watchmakers credo to perfection, the Gerge watches are destined to become coveted objects for connoisseurs and collectors.
