Meet New Oris Tubbataha Regulator Diver Limited Edition Watch

May 08, 2012
Oris, in cooperation with the Tubbataha Reefs National Park in the Philippines, has created a new timepiece for divers the Tubbataha Regulator Diver Limited Edition watch. Part of the funds received from the sales of the watch will be donated to support the conservation of the coral reefs and its unique marine life.

The new Oris watch is a reliable timekeeping companion for divers. It boasts 500-meter water-resistance and is built with a helium escape valve.

The Tubbataha Regulator Diver's watch is animated by an automatic movement - Oris caliber 749, based on Sellita SW220. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the mechanism provides the following functions: regulator hours and minutes, small seconds, and date.

The 47mm case is rendered in brushed titanium. The bezel from the same material incorporates an indigo ceramic inlay. The large fluted crown, provided with special protection, is also titanium.

The blue dial catches the glance by its regulator-type display, with a really big minutes hand with a bright orange luminous arrow in the center, the small seconds indicator at 9 oclock and hours sub-dial at 3 oclock. The cool look is completed with oversized orange luminous hour markers. The face is shielded by a sapphire crystal.

The solid titanium case-back reveals an image of a shark that makes one think of the endangered marine creatures, inhabitants of the Tubbataha Reefs.

The Oris Tubbataha Regulator Diver Limited Edition watch is secured to the wrist on a black rubber strap equipped with a titanium folding buckle with special extension or with a multipiece titanium metal bracelet with an extending folding clasp.

The timepiece is limited to just 2000 pieces.
