In the course of the ceremony, held at Fukuoka on November 22, 2009, Pierre Dubois, CEO of Pierre Deroche, bestowed Tsuyoshi Wada with a special prize: a GrandCliff TNT Royal Retro watch. Thus, the famous watchmaker proudly announced its association with the Japanese baseball star.

Baseball is a national sport in Japan and its popularity exceeds that of football. As a member of Japans national team, Mr. Wada took part in the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. This sportsman became a third prize winner in the 2004 Olympics, and he was the one to take the gold at the 2006 World Championships. As a result, he earned sincere admiration of the whole nation.

Tsuyoshi Wada is also known and respected for his involvement in charitable campaigns, such as children vaccination. Such deeds of charity are arranged by Mr. Wadas foundation.

The outstanding sportsman was really excited to be awarded with the Pierre Deroche TNT Royal Retro watch. According to Mr Dubois, Tsuyoshi Wada exemplifies the qualities of a true leader, technical expertise, pursuit of excellence and reliability. These are the values that perfectly match the overall image of the Pierre Deroche brand.
