The sky and the universe have always encouraged scientists, poets, lovers and horologists. The dials of numerous modern watches, produced by world-famous brands, proudly reveal sky nuances with moon phases among them.
Characterized by ardent desire for innovation, the acclaimed watchmaking house Arnold & Son went further and faced the challenge of reproducing our grand cosmic world on the dial of its new True Moon Meteorite watch. This feat of virtuosity would be impossible without joined efforts of the manufacture’s team of highly qualified professionals. They concentrated on space, a huge area Arnold & Son had already started to conquer by manufacturing its innovative perpetual calendar and equation of time mechanisms.
The new Arnold & Son watch is instantly identifiable by virtue of its dial, done in a unique extremely hard meteorite stone from Arizona. The functions of the watch are clear on the exclusive display: it shows hours, minutes and seconds. They are joined by the date indication, arranged at 3 o’clock. Inspired by the magnificent Moon, the dial also features the patented moon phase complication as well as the perpetual moon cycle, which represents an independent gear system.
All the functions mentioned are animated by the automatic caliber A1788 movement. It is the first in the world mechanism, which realistically reproduces the waxing and waning faces of the nocturnal celestial body. It became possible due to thorough calculation of the exact synodal period, which constitutes 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes.
This remarkable caliber is enclosed in a steel or 18K pink gold case, which measures 46 mm in diameter. The brand’s craftsmen have given their latest creation a particularly elegant case-back, fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal. The water-resistance of the Arnold & Son watch is down to 30 meters.
The black or brown croco strap rounds off the consummate appearance of the Arnold & Son True Moon Meteorite watch, which carries an inimitable scent of genuine exclusivity.
