True Chronograph Watch from Rado

Mar 02, 2009
The Rado watch family has been joined by a new exclusive timepiece - the True Chronograph Platinum Matt watch. The timepiece will be among novelties unveiled at Baselworld 2009.

The unique feature of the watch is its ceramic case that demonstrates the color of platinum with a matt aspect due to the use of a sophisticated coating technique. The ceramic absorbs the light and gets deep grey-brown shades. The case construction incorporates ceramic crown and push-pieces. The composite case back is screwed down with 8 titanium screws.

The grey dial of the new Rado watch is provided with galvanic white coating. It is completed with split-seconds chronograph counters for hours, 1/10 seconds and small seconds found at 10, 2 and 6 oclock respectively. The circular date window is positioned at 4 oclock.

You will notice two rows of hour markers, each row having its own direct-drive hand indicating the seconds and minutes. The dial is reliably protected by convex sapphire crystal.

The watch is equipped with a quartz movement- ETA 251.262.

The Rado True Chronograph Platinum Matt watch is secured to the wrist on a matt platinum-colored ceramic strap fitted with a titanium triple folding clasp.
