The new collection pays tribute to the original Transocean watch introduced in 1958. The high-performance timekeeping instrument was characterized by supreme shock-resistant, antimagnetic and super-watertight properties. It was animated by a highly-accurate chronometer-certified self-winding movement. Featuring an understated and elegant design, the Breitling watch enjoyed amazing success.
The polished case with nicely understated design demonstrates a smooth, slender bezel with a beveled profile. Its elegant look is enhanced by streamlined lugs. The classic round push-pieces are inspired by the first water-resistant push-pieces and add a vintage touch to the overall look of the watch.
The dial, created in Mercury Silver or black, pleases the eye by its superb clarity and readability. The time is indicated by large baton-shaped straight-line hands provided by luminescent inserts. The look of the dial is completed with such refined elements as applied hour-markers, finely recessed and "snailed" counters, as well as the initial B, the brand’s famous emblem, presented in 18K gold.
The heart of the Breitling Transocean watch is a highly precise and reliable movement - Caliber 01, a self-winding chronograph movement developed and produced independently within the Breitling workshop. The precision of the movement is crowned by the chronometer-certification.
The new Breitling watch is 100-meter water-resistant. The transparent case-back allows to drop a glance at the brand’s chronograph caliber.
The new chronograph watch will be available in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces in steel and 200 in red gold.
The timepiece is secured to the wrist on a leather or crocodile leather strap, or a woven steel bracelet.
