Having left for a three-month solo trip around the world, a part of the famous Vendée Globe race, Bernard Stamm is wearing the new Parmigiani watch during the challenging trip.
The novel model can be used not only as a pocket watch, a table clock or a wristwatch but also as a reliable on-board instrument even in extreme conditions of the trip. The case, when you release it from its titanium holder, can be placed in the yacht’s dashboard.
The dial design has been inspired by the Rivages yacht. The dial counters are produced from carbon and the hands, as well as the stylized world map, are created in the same «Rivages blue» as the monohull’s logo. The face of the timepiece is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
Crafted from titanium and carbon, the Transforma Rivages watch is light and comfortable to wear. The construction of the model incorporates a special jaw, gripping and clamping its main body. To release the titanium hood, it is necessary to press the two side push-pieces found on the lower lugs.
The 43 mm case of the wristwatch is rendered in the same carbon material as the Rivages’ monohull. It is 30-meter water-resistant.
The model is animated by an in-house automatic winding chronograph movement - Calibre PF 334. The 303-part, 68-jewel movement, beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, gives an advantage of a 55-hour power reserve. It animates the following functions – hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date presented via a large aperture at 6 o’clock.
The case- back of the Parmigiani Transforma Rivages watch features an engraved inscription ‘Edition spéciale 100’ and the individual number of the model.
