Inspired by the Caribbean islands such as Cuba, Tortuga and Santo Domingo, which used to be favorite places for famous buccaneers, this assertive and breathtaking model is available with a revolutionary modular case, sculptured in bronze, burnished steel and titanium.
The Torpedo Pirata Moonphase watch incorporates a range of functions: hours, minutes, seconds, date, chronograph and that of moon phases. Animating the functions is the self-winding CyS 3050 calibre, which uses a Valjoux 7750 as its base. This open-worked movement integrates an engraved rotor and offers a 44-hour power reserve.
The watch case boasts a diameter of 45 mm. It is assembled with a sapphire crystal, which exposes a double sided anti-reflective treatment. The model reveals a see-through case-back, embellished with original engraving.
The dial of this masterpiece is performed in black. It shows the date at the center. The dial is completed with hours, minutes and small seconds sub-dials, located at 6, 12 and 9 o’clock correspondingly. The moon phase indicator is nestles at 3 o’clock.
The Torpedo Pirata Moonphase watch is accompanied by a black rubber strap, lined with grey rubber and stitched with a bronze-colored thread. The strap is equipped with a titanium buckle.
The Cuervo Y Sobrinos watch, reviewed by Watches.InfoNIAC.com, also comes with another case interpretation: 18K pink gold, titanium and burnished steel. The launch of this model has been restricted to just 25 pieces.
