Parmigiani Fleurier Presents New Tonda Hemisphere Watch

May 28, 2010
The renowned watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier is understandably proud to unveil a new interpretation of its well-received Tonda Hemisphere watch.

Similar to its predecessors, the new Parmigiani Fleurier watch features two time-zones. Both of them are immediately apparent on the dial presented in a shade of blue. Partially-skeletonized, it opens to view some gears and screws of the movement beating inside.

The watch face is equipped with a silver inner circle crafted from metal and finished with Geneva stripes. The display also includes a day/night indicator. The dial is completed with a date exhibition window, which enables the watch wearer to see three days at a time.

Giving life to this watch functions is a Swiss automatic in-house manufactured movement - caliber PF337.01. Adorned with 38 jewels, this mechanism runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 50-hour power reserve.

The caliber is enclosed in a stainless steel case, which features the dimensions of 42mm x 11mm. Both front and back sides of the Parmigiani Fleurier watch are fitted with sapphire crystals. Its water-resistance is ensured down to 30 meters.

The novel Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Hemisphere watch is teamed with a blue Hermes alligator leather strap.
