Milus Creates New Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton

Jul 26, 2010
In 2008, the renowned watchmaking house Milus introduced its amazing Tirion TriRetrograde watch. Its name is borrowed from the constellation of Orion, one of the most easily recognizable and brightest in the equatorial region of the sky. Remarkably well-received by the audience, this Milus watch occupied an enviable position in the world of luxury watches.

Milus has won the hearts of numerous watch enthusiasts by fitting the seconds display with three retrograde hands. Now, the improved version of these extraordinary elements is presented within a structure of the new Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton TIRI014 watch. Born under keen eyes and dexterous hands of the company’s esteemed craftsmen, it represents a matchless work of decorative art, which required many hours of intensive efforts. The timepiece proudly demonstrates its strengths both in terms of design and technology.

The bewitching dial gives this watch its exceptional character. Constantly in motion, the face of the new watch radiates a contagious energy. An additional accomplishment in the timekeeping art, this dial has been created on two different levels. The central part is embellished with “soleil” motif. The external part, meanwhile, reveals a fine stamped decor, presented in cream color. It is completed with
transferred index and Arabic numerals at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 o’clock, performed in anthracite color. Traveling over them are rhodium-plated skeleton hour and minutes hands.

The tri-retrograde seconds display, the most fascinating feature of the Milus watch, is engraved on three bridges. The progression of the seconds is marked by three small skeleton hands.

The dial is also equipped with a calendar function, which could be found between 4 and 5 o’clock. The figures, which serve to indicate the date, all other numerals as well as the hands, are treated with SuperLuminova compound. The latter ensures a perfect level of darkness visibility.

The watch dial is embraced by a 9-part case, which measures 45 mm in diameter and is sculptured in stainless steel 316L. On the front side, it is protected by a domed sapphire crystal.

The case also exposes 4 mounted strap attachments as well as the screw-down back, outfitted with a round, convex sapphire crystal. This exhibition window shows off the enchanting details of a Swiss-made self-winding mechanical movement. It features the exclusive Milus 3838 module, an incredible mechanism, which brings to life the tri-retrograde seconds function. The water-resistance of the watch is assured to 30 meters.

The final touch is provided by a black alligator leather strap, boasting large scales and off-white stitches on its edges. The strap terminates in a buckle or a folding clasp, rendered in stainless steel.

The Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton watch will definitely appeal to the public in search for a high degree of technical refinement,
enclosed in a watch with exclusive styling.
