Louis Moinet Time Explorator Jurassic Tourbillon Watch with True Dinosaur Bones

Louis Moinet, famous for its watches incorporating space rocks and rare and old rocks, is extremely pleased to unveil its new timepiece dubbed the Jurassic Tourbillon. The watch, to be a part of the brand’s Time Explorator collection, boasts the dial containing fragments of real fossilized dinosaur bones.

Found to be absolutely exceptional by experts, the color and veining of the dinosaur bones were subjected to a meticulous preservation process.

The Louis Moinet Jurassic Tourbillon watch, designed to take its owner on a journey into the past, about 130 million years ago, will be limited to 12 pieces.

The tourbillon cage presented at 6 o’clock performs one revolution per minute. The power reserve indicator is found on a pierced barrel at 12 o’clock.

The heart of the new Louis Moinet watch is a hand-wound exclusive tourbillon movement. The 19-jewel movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, offers a 72-hour power reserve. The movement incorporates a lateral lever escapement, as well as the winding mechanism with “octopus” spring that can be seen via the sapphire crystal case back.

The case of the Jurassic Tourbillon watch is rendered in 18K white gold. It is built from 50 elements and measures 47 mm in diameter. The bezel and horns sparkle with 56 Top Wesselton VVS baguette diamonds, with a total weight of 3.46 carats. The face of the watch is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.
