Corum Ti-Bridge Wins Prestigious Prize at Watch of the Year 2009

Nov 05, 2009
The Ti-Bridge watch from the renowned watch-making house Corum was presented an accolade at the prestigious Watch of the Year 2009 ceremony, which took place in Geneva.

Having evaluated a wide spectrum of luxury watches, unveiled by a great number of highly-acclaimed brands, the special jury, formed by publishing group Ringier Romandie and the watch magazine Montres Passion, eventually regarded the Corum Ti-Bridge watch worthy of the 2nd Prize. The title of the 1st Prize winner was conferred to the illustrious watchmaker Vacheron Constantin for its vintage-encouraged Historiques American 1921 watch.

In the presence of more than 500 distinguished guests, the representatives of the Swiss watch industry, Antonio Calce, CEO of Corum, took the floor after the results of this competition had been announced.

According to Mr. Calce, the Corum watch company is extremely proud to have been bestowed with such a prize. He also added that the Ti-Bridge model fully reflected the main pillars of the brands activity: creativity, design and high watch-making content.

The Corum Ti-Bridge watch experienced its world premiere at the Baselworld exhibition, which occurred this year, in March. Partially influenced by the Corums famous Golden Bridge watch, this very model accommodates a totally new manual winding movement. The latter represents a coolly technical take on the thin baton caliber, which features a mechanism mounted on a single line.

A relative newcomer to the market, this marvelous creation from Corum has already fascinated many watch enthusiasts with its modern design, an imposing titanium case, as well as exceptional mechanical caliber.
