The Ti-Bridge Automatic Dual Winder watch is the first automatic timepiece to join the Ti-Bridge line. Its creators have maintained the horizontal linearity of both the case and the movement - the fundamental principles of the collection.
For the first automatic caliber within the Ti-Bridge line the Corum watchmakers decided to develop an inline winding system. The patented Dual Winder system incorporates two inline-mounted circular oscillating weights, interconnected with help of a transmission arbor to make them move in parallel. Three integrated stacked mechanisms found at 9 o’clock include a ball bearing device and two unidirectional ball bearings clutches. They are crafted in ceramics, implying they need no lubrication and make the winding efficient in both directions of the oscillating weights’ rotations.
The oscillating weights are topped by two steel disks. Two tungsten semi-cylinders, weighing 1.32 grams, provide smooth winding. The barrel, positioned at 3 o’clock, is responsible for storing up the movement’s 72-hour power reserve.
The movement is held in the case center by four titanium cross-bars, producing an impression of a suspended mechanism.
The generously sized case (42 x 52 mm) demonstrates the collection’s signature tonneau shape. The case, fashioned in grade 5 titanium, has become slimmer if compared to the previous models. It reveals a broad front opening that allows to drop a glance at the movement beating inside. The rectangular rear aperture reveals the rotating mechanism with its two inline oscillating weights.
The new Corum Ti-Bridge Automatic Dual Winder watch has been created in a limited edition of 200 pieces. It is teamed with a rubber-type leather strap or a grade 5 titanium bracelet.
There is also another version of the timepiece presented in a 5N 18K red gold and limited to just 25 pieces.
