TAG Heuer - Kimi Raikkonen - The Story Continues

The Scuderia Ferrari driver and F1 World Champion 2007 Kimi Raikkonen has extended the long-term contract with TAG Heuer, the legendary Swiss watchmaking company.

Kimi has joined TAG Heuer Dream Team of Ambassadors in 2002. The F1 champion has taken active part in designing and developing TAG Heuer Sports watches and TAG Heuer Avant-Garde Eyewear.

Universally known as "Ice Man", Kimi Raikkonen together with his wife Jenni have recently participated in an exclusive photo-shooting session for the new TAG Heuer advertising campaign.

To mark Kimi's extraordinary performance in 2007 F1 Championship, TAG Heuer is going to launch the brand's most ambitious rollout inspired by Iceman.

In the spring of 2008, we will witness the launch of new TAG Heuer Kimi Raikkonen sunglasses. The collection will be followed by the introduction of a "Limited edition Kimi Raikkonen sports watch" in the fall of 2008.

I brought my Tag F1 chrono to be serviced since it stops everytime the time reads 11:00. They told me the watch motor needed to be replaced and would cost me 4000 php. Also, the rubber detailing on the side of the watch where the buttons are located needed to be replaced since they were deteriorating and beginning to crumble for some reason. They told me it was probably because I was acidic. Fine, but someone please explain to me why the watch motor costs 4000php (roughly 89 us dollars) and the rubber thingy costs 5000php (111 US dollars)??! That is absurd. I'm never buying another Tag Heuer. My older Seiko never needed any repairs, just battery and gasket replacement through the years and it is still running up to this day. This watch is a waste of money.

Have you seen the Tag Heuer Formula 1 Grande Date Kimi Raikkonen watch, limited edition. It has got a black dial with some details in red, the brand's logo and Kimi Raikkonen inscription. The watch provides 1/10th of a second precision. His fans can get the watch on a steel bracelet or a new two-tone rubber strap in red and black.

By current watch styles this watch looks pretty dated. In fact, most watches made by Tag look like they belong in the 90s

Kimi Raikkonen is my favorite Formula One star! I have just read about his remarkable career. I have never heard he joined the motor racing world as early as at the age of 10 (he actually participated in the national and international kart racing). At the age of 21 he won the British Renault Championship - 7 wins out of 10! He joined SauberF1 in 2001 and after one season he was reived by Ron Dennis. During 5 years with McLaren F1, Kimi highlighted his career with 9 wins, 11 poles and 19 fastest laps and finished 2 seasons vice-champions.
In 2007 Kimi joined Ferrari. His very first race with Ferrari resulted in his first win, first pole position and first fastest lap for the team. And that is not all... The 2007 Formula 1 season resulted in 6 victories, 3 pole positions and 6 fastest laps. No wonder, Kimi has got so many fans! And no wonder Tag Heuer snatched him up as the brand's ambassador. I read about Kimi on the Tag's official site. I would like to wear the same new TAG Heuer Formula 1 as he wears!

I acquired a Tag Heuer Men's Formula 1 Chronograph watch for myself and it is a real pleasure to wear a timepiece of such remarkable quality and craftsmanship on the wrist.
The watch I have features an orange face - just like the one on the picture. This is a stylish watch for everyday wearing; it is solid and heavy, yet comfortable; it draws a lot of attention of people around. I believe that you will really enjoy owning a Tag Formula 1. In my opinion, this watch is perfect. In fact, All Tag Heuer watches are worth the price.
