Meet Gc Sport Class XXL Ceramic Chronograph Watch

Dec 16, 2010
Bold in its design, the new Sport Class XXL Ceramic chronograph watch from the house of Gc targets self-assured and dynamic men.

The new Gc watch is embodied in a 45 mm stainless steel case. Its surface represents a combination of polished and brushed finishes. The case is combined with a unidirectional rotating bezel.

Similar to the case, it is crafted from stainless steel. The bezel is equipped with a ceramic ring, clothed in white, black or rose gold PVD treatment. It is also marked with a 60-minute count-up scale.

The material of ceramic, which is just as well employed in the manufacturing of the striking bracelet, is harder than steel, entirely scratchproof and hypoallergenic. Lightweight and luxurious, the bracelet comfortably fits a man’s wrist.

Composed of polished steel or rose gold PVD-coated links, the bracelet is finalized by a 2 side pusher deployment buckle, marked by the Gc logo.

The case of the model is endowed with an imposing screw-down winding crown, positioned at 3 o’clock. Easy-to-grip, it bears the brand’s logo. The crown is joined by charismatic chronograph pushers, located at 2 and 4 o’clock.

On its top, the new Sport Class XXL Ceramic chronograph watch boasts a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is also fitted with a screwed case-back. The timepiece is 100-meter water-resistant.

Inside the case rests a Swiss-made quartz chronograph movement - Ronda R5040.D. It drives an array of useful functions, which are presented on a highly legible dial.

Dressed in black or white, the multi-layered textured dial features contrasting hour-markers and a large Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock. The Arabic numbers are also exposed within the 30-minute, 60-second and 1/10th of a second precision chronograph counters, nestled at 3, 9 and 6 o’clock respectively.

All the numerals are hand-applied, rose gold PVD-treated or crafted from steel. They are highlighted with Superluminova, which ensures a perfect clarity of the display.

Keeping pace of hours and minutes are centralized steel or rose gold PVD-treated hands, also tipped with a coat of Superluminova. They are kept company by an extra-thin seconds hand. The display also offers date information, which appears in the aperture at 4 o’clock. The brand’s logo resides beneath the numeral at 12 o’clock. The final touch is provided by a tachymeter scale, arrayed on the periphery of the display.

The modern technology and great reliability lend the new Gc men’s watch a special place among today’s chronographs.
