Enjoy Marvin Sebastien Loeb Special Edition Watch

Nov 10, 2010
Marvin has joined efforts with seven-time world champion rally racer and the brand’s ambassador Sebastien Loeb on the creation of an exceptional timepiece. The new Marvin Sebastien Loeb Special Edition watch demonstrates the distinctive race style elements.

Sebastian Loeb co-designed the timepiece with Jean-Francois Ruchonnet, who worked on the design of the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 and the Cabestan, and Sebastien Perret, the designer of all new Marvin models.

The sandblasted steel case measures 44 mm in diameter and catches the glance by its shaped sides, acquiring a technical appearance. The new Marvin watch features a black or white dial completed with a range of racing style details. The chronograph pushers look like the pedals of a racing car, demonstrating a similar pattern. The flexible lugs are mounted on spring suspensions in red, one more reference to rally cars. Moreover, the flexible lugs provide supreme comfort of wearing.

You will also notice other rally-racing inspired elements - the shaped counters are designed like dashboard instruments. The dial features riveted plates found on different levels. The openworked hands look like a rally car's reinforcing bars.

The new Marvin Sebastien Loeb Special Edition watch is available in two versions - equipped with a mechanical or quartz movement. The first version, limited to 777 pieces, is animated by an automatic chronograph Valjoux 7750 movement. As for the quartz version, its chronograph boasts accuracy to 1/10th of a second.

The quartz model demonstrates the racer’s signature on the dial at 4 o’clock and an engraving “World Rally Champion” on the case-back. The automatic model reveals the signature engraved on the sapphire crystal of the case-back that allows to drop a glance at the mechanical movement and its rotor created in the Marvin colors.

Sebastien Loeb was personally involved in every stage of the design process. The celebrity wanted the wristwatch to reflect his personal style, masculine and sporty, and show off the distinctive codes of car racing. The French racer is very proud of his timepiece and pleased with the successful cooperation with the brand.
