Having become partners with The PGA of America, Omega will for the first time act as Official Timekeeper of the Ryder Cup in September. Teams from Europe and the United States compete in the Ryder Cup every two years. The tournament represents one of the most popular events in the world of golf, but the winners get no prize money – famous golfers compete just for victory.
The silver dial is embellished with the vertical “teak-pattern” lines, the same as every member of the Aqua Terra watch family. The dial is completed with brushed and polished 18K white gold indexes. The date window is found at 3 o’clock. The time is indicated by facetted blue hands provided with Super-LumiNova coating for great legibility under any light conditions. The seconds hand in the center features a yellow tip.
You will also notice a few more details, such as the brand’s logo and the words “CO-AXIAL CHRONOMETER” written in red, the same as minute markers. The color of blue is used for “Seamaster”, “150m/500ft” and minute numerals. The colors of red and blue subtly recall Davis Love III’s national flag.

The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch” is mounted on a stainless steel screw-and-pin bracelet featuring brushed outer links and polished center links. The timepiece is 150-meter water-resistant.
