Cartier Santos 100 Squelette Watch - Amazing Transparency

Sep 13, 2010
The Santos 100 Squelette watch from the jewellery and watchmaker Cartier boggles the audiences imagination with its total transparency.

The dial of the Cartier extraordinary timepiece indicates the time in a very special manner. It is fitted with conventional hands, dressed in blue.

They travel, however, over Roman numerals, represented by bridges, artfully incorporated into a hand-wound mechanical skeletonized movement - calibre 9611 MC.

Graced with Haute Horlogerie finishing, it oscillates at the rate of 28, 800 vibrations per hour. Equipped with two barrels, the caliber provides a 72-hour power reserve.

Composed of 138 meticulously hand-made individual parts, the remarkable movement can be seen through two sapphire crystals.

The watch wearer can admire its beveled bridges and mainplate, satin brushed sides as well as circular-grained wheels.

The entire mechanism is enclosed in a generously sized palladium case, which boasts a diameter of 47 mm. The water-resistance of the new Santos 100 Squelette watch is assured down to 30 meters.

The final touch is provided by a high quality leather strap, which wraps itself around the wearers wrist with incomparable comfort.

The issue of the new Cartier watch is strictly limited to 100 pieces.
