The novelty is set in a 44mm round-shaped case. It is rendered in stainless steel with gold or black IP treatment. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 30 meters. On its front side the new Salvatore Ferragamo watch is assembled with a glare-proofed sapphire crystal.

The black dial is completed with applied hour indexes and golden hands. It ensures central hours and minutes. The small seconds tick away in a counter at 9 oclock. The same sub-dial comprises a 24-hour time zone.

The chronograph features are presented through a 30-minute sub-dial at 12 oclock, a 12-hour counter at 6 oclock as well as a central seconds hand. The minute counter includes day and month indications, while the hour sub-dial is allied with a moon-phase indicator - the main asset of the new Salvatore Ferragamo 1898 Moonphase Chronograph watch.

The timepiece also offers a date indication, which can be read off from the fourth central hand, tipped with a read arrow, and Arabic numerals, arrayed on the periphery of the dial. All the functions are driven by a Swiss-made automatic mechanical ETA Valjoux 7751 movement, graced with a Cotes-de-Geneva pattern.

Issued in a limited edition of 150 pieces, the new Salvatore Ferragamo watch comes fitted with a black leather strap with white stitching.
