The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tuxedo has been created in both female and masculine versions. The watches feature cases sculptured in white gold. The cases incorporate octagonal bezels paved with round brilliant diamonds.
The lacquered black dials make one think of the polished ebony of a grand piano. They are completed with white gold baton-shaped hour markers and hands, also adorned with a row of round brilliant diamonds. The men’s watch boasts diamonds with a total weight of 4.65 carats, while the weight of the diamonds of the ladies watch is 3.80 carats. The Tuxedo watch for men accommodates the legendary Caliber 2120 movement that premiered in 1967. The Haute Horlogerie movement is found on the list of the slimmest self-winding calibers with a central rotor. With a balance frequency of 19,800 vibrations per hour, the movement gives an advantage of a 40-hour power reserve.
The Tuxedo watch for ladies is powered by the self-winding Caliber 2140. With a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement also offers a 40-hour power reserve.
Both movements boast meticulous hand-finishing reflecting the highest standards of traditional Haute Horlogerie. The movement incorporates bridges with chamfered edges and Cotes-de-Geneve decorated surfaces, while the lower surfaces of the bridges and the mainplate are embellished with circular graining. The screws of the movement are finely polished.
The ladies timepiece has a white gold case-back with a Royal Oak engraving, while the men's one has a case-back revealing a sapphire crystal exhibition window.
TheAudemars Piguet Royal Oak Tuxedo watches are presented on an elegant black leather strap fitted with a diamond-set folding clasp in white gold featuring the shape of brand’s initials. The timepieces are 50-meter water-resistant.
