The new Audemars Piguet watch celebrates the partnership between the watchmaking brand and the the Formula 1 racing legend Jarno Trulli. The Italian champion has been Audemars Piguet ambassador since 2008. On October 8th, Jarno Trulli will compete in the Japanese Grand Prix. The driver will be wearing a helmet with a picture of the Royal Oak Offshore Jarno Trulli Chronograph.
Starting with October 6th, you can find the timepiece in the brand’s boutique located in Ginza shopping precinct in Tokyo. Following the initial launch in Japan, in the end of the year the watch will be delivered in the boutiques all over the world.
The Royal Oak Offshore, a true icon of the brand, has been created as an ultimate sports watch. The line is associated with some of the most famous Formula 1 racing drivers, including Rubens Barrichello and Juan Pablo Montoya. The latest addition to the line bears the signature of Jarno Trulli.
The case-back of the celebrity watch is engraved with the inscription Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition - Jarno Trulli.
The anthracite grey dial is decorated with an exclusive “Mega Tapisserie” motif. It is completed with silvered counters, applied hour-markers and white gold hands provided with red luminescent coating. The dial also has a silvered inner bezel ring with a tachometric scale.
The heart of the Audemars Piguet watch is a self-winding movement - Calibre 3126/3840. The 59-jewel movement is constructed from 365 parts. With a balance frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, it offers a 60-hour power reserve. All parts of the movement are meticulously decorated.
The movement animates an impressive range of functions - hours and minutes, small seconds, date and chronograph presented via the central seconds hand, and 30-minute and 12-hour sub-dials.
