Lionel Ladoire Roller Guardian Time - Nothing to Do with Conventional

May 26, 2010
Having established his own company in 2007, Lionel Ladoire stunned the world of Horology by his first timekeeping creation dubbed the UFO of watchmaking.

The Roller Guardian Time (RGT in short) represents a uniquely-shaped watch inspired by a pebble. The asymmetric shape of the case, with dimensions of 56x45x16.3mm, gladdens the eye as soft, organic, and remarkably balanced.

The heart of the first Lionel Ladoire watch is a Swiss automatic movement with micro-rotors. It was conceived in cooperation with skilled outside partners.

The Roller Guardian Time stands out from the crowd as it features just one traditional moving hand for the GMT function, with a quick corrector positioned at 2 oclock. The hours, minutes and seconds hands are actually fixed in place - they indicate the time with help of special disks that rotate on ceramic ball bearings, requiring no lubrication. One more distinctive detail of the complicated watch is the crown found at 8 oclock.

The Roller Guardian Time watch is available in titanium or in combination of white gold and titanium. The sapphire crystal case-back allows to admire the intricate nature of the movement. The timepiece goes on an impressive alligator leather strap, extra thick near the case to make it most comfortable on the wrist.

Lionel Ladoire annually produces a limited number of just 50 watches.

It is interesting to mention that Lionel Ladoire is not only a talented watchmaker but also a surfer and a rock drummer.
