The Rolex Watch Company has launched a new book to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. The book is entitled "1908-2008: 100 Years of Rolex". It will be available worldwide in a limited edition of 4,000 copies.
The 320-page book features nice illustrations and covers a variety of topics and trivia that are sure to arouse great interest in avid watch collectors and Rolex fans. The Rolex book includes sections devoted to the origin of the Oyster Perpetual "Milgauss", the history of iconic
Rolex watches such as the Daytona, the Submariner, and the GMT-Master, as well as Rolex James Bond.
The book has been written by Rolex expert and collector Guido Mondani. He is the owner of the world-famous Rolex collection, the subject of a recent record-breaking Antiquorum auction.

I like the bold new design and I think this type of watch might help attract other buyers that would not normally buy a Rolex because of the old school look. On the other hand I am sure buyers that do purchase a Rolex because of the traditional look will probably not like this particular model as much.
