Unique Rolex Watch Collection to be Presented by Patrizzi & Co
Patrizzi & Co, a new watch auction house, is to hold the sale of the world-class Rolex watch collection of Davide Blei on December 14 in Milan. The auction house is managed by the founder of Antiquorum, Osvaldo Patrizzi.

The bidders will compete for 130 rare Rolex watches. An estimated value of the collection is 7.2 million Swiss Francs. The sale of Blei's Rolex watches was initially announced by Antiquorum in Fall 2007, but was cancelled because of concerns over a bank guarantee.

The sale catalog is to be unveiled in an exclusively digital format. It contains such unique timepieces as a Ref. 6062 crafted in 18K rose gold. This is a triple-calendar moon-phase Rolex watch featuring a 'star' dial. The collection also contains a range of Rolex chronographs predating the Daytona, as well as a Rolex Submariner watch dating back to the early 1950-s. The perfect condition of the timepiece may boost bids to 150,000 Euros.

Davide Blei has long been collecting exceptional timepieces, and rare Rolex and Patek Philippe references in particular. The collector is also famous for his passion for Lalique glass, the 17th century English silver and international contemporary art.
