At 3 o’clock the case features a screw-down winding crown, equipped with a Twinlock double waterproofness system. On its top the model is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The date area is covered by a Cyclops lens, anti-reflective on both sides. The case is also endowed with a screw-down back part with Rolex fluting. The water-resistance of the model is assured down to 100 meters.
The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Special Edition watch boasts a Goldust Dream dial. It is a clever combination of white or black mother-of-pearl and gold dust. The display comprises 18 ct gold Roman numerals. The large number at 6 o’clock is studded with jewels. The hours, minutes and seconds are indicated by 18 ct pink gold hands. The date is offered in the exhibition window at 3 o’clock.
Breathing life into the functions is the brand’s proprietary Calibre 2235 movement, officially certified as a chronometer. It incorporates a hairspring with Breguet overcoil, a balance wheel with variable inertia and a traversing balance bridge. Set with 31 rubies, the mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 48-hour power reserve.
The new Rolex watch is coupled with an Oyster type bracelet, comprising five-piece links. It is rendered in 18 ct Everose gold with polished finish. The bracelet is finalized by a folding clasp.
