Cuervo y Sobrinos Perpetuale GMT Watch - Classic Simplicity

Aug 10, 2010
The new Robusto Perpetuale GMT watch was created in complete alignment with Cuervo y Sobrinos’ philosophy. Characterized by classic simplicity, the watch generously exudes the warmth of Havana, which marries marvelously with Swiss technical mastery. It was the distance between these wonderful areas that encouraged the designers to equip the perpetual calendar complication with a second time zone.

The accurate timekeeping of the Cuervo y Sobrinos watch is ensured by a self-winding movement - Dubois Depraz 5124 calibre. It is artfully graced with rhodium-plated and circular-grained finishing. Paved with 21 jewels, this mechanism runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The caliber incorporates an indigo-blue rotor marked with “125th anniversary” engraving.

The movement serves to animate the essential functions of hours, minutes and seconds. Moreover, it drives the date, day, month, leap year as well as the second time-zone indications.

The heart of the Cuervo y Sobrinos watch is placed in a satin-finished and polished 18K pink gold case, measuring 43 mm in diameter.

Distinguished by extremely soft lines, it showcases a crown, bearing CyS logo. The face of the watch is protected by a double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The watch also features a see-through screw-down case-back. It handles depths of up to 30 meters.

The watch case is enhanced by a cream guilloche dial, adorned with a “braided” motif. It enchants the eye with warm contrasting colors: the hour-markers and counters are performed in brown, gold and bronze. The display comprises the date, day, month and the leap year counters, positioned at 3, 9 and 12 o’clock respectively. The GMT sub-dial with a second time-zone can be found at 6 o’clock.

The Cuervo y Sobrinos watch is presented on a brown Louisiana crocodile leather strap, closed with an 18K pink gold folding clasp.

Strictly limited to 30 pieces, the Robusto Perpetuale GMT watch ensures a century of punctuality with no need to adjust its hands. It will surely thrill individuals with a preference for reliable timekeeping objects.
