In commemoration of its partnership with Melges and sponsorship of the Melges 32 racing vessel, the house of Cuervo y Sobrinos has released its new Robusto Buceador Carbon Melges limited edition watch.
This horological marvel is available with a steel case, which is 16 mm thick and measures 43 mm in diameter. It captures attention with its polished lugs, which lend the new Cuervo y Sobrinos watch an appealing look.
The case is equipped with two powerful crowns, located at 2 and 4 o’clock. The model presented is capable of withstanding water pressures down to 200 meters.
As its name suggests, the new Robusto Buceador Carbon Melges limited edition watch shows off a functional carbon fiber dial. It is framed by an internal rotating bezel, which is governed by means of one of two crowns.
Embodying a blend of classical and modern features, the display comprises artistically designed hour-markers. Inlaid with a luminous substance, they ensure a good level of visibility, when light becomes darkness. The index at 6 o’clock gives way to an exhibition window, which indicates a date. The brand’s logo serves as a substitute for the hour-marker at 12 o’clock.
Taking care of hours and minutes are broad hands, highlighted with Superluminova. Pointing to the seconds, meanwhile, is a slim hand, tipped with an arrow. The extremity of the dial exposes a minute track, which represents a successful combination of Arabic numerals and indexes. Protecting the watch face is an anti-glare sapphire crystal.
The new Cuervo y Sobrinos watch relies on a Sellita SW200 automatic movement. The final touch is provided by a dark rubber strap, embellished with a contrasting stitching. The strap is closed with a steel deployment clasp.
The model in question will surely attract individuals with a preference for impeccable functionality, behind charismatic design.
