Richard Mille Creates RM 022 Tourbillon Aerodyne Dual Time Zone Watch

In 2009, Richard Mille has proudly introduced the RM 021 “Aerodyne” watch that caused a real sensation in the world of watchmaking as it was built from exemplary modern materials unique to the field of horology.

Based on the model’s tremendous success, Richard Mille has created a new timepiece - the RM 022 Tourbillon “Aerodyne” Dual Time zone watch. The new RM 022 Tourbillon represents the first timepiece to unite a dual time zone with an external structure crafted in titanium, along with orthorhombic titanium aluminides and carbon nanofibres.

The dual time zone indicator of the watch boasts an extremely complex nature from the technical point of view. Yet, it is very user-friendly.

The central part of the dial demonstrates a transparent sapphire crystal disc with inscribed hours. The disc continuously rotates through the movement. The digits on the disc become visible only when transferred on a clear background at 03 o’clock.

The Richard Mille watch owner can easily and quickly adjust the dual time zone with help of a elegantly finished pusher found at 9 o’clock, with every impulse adding an extra hour to the time zone.

The timepiece is available in titanium or 18K red or white gold, coupled with an alligator leather strap fitted with a matching buckle.

The RM 022 “Aerodyne” Dual Time zone watch, reviewed by, accommodates a manual winding tourbillon movement – the Caliber RM 022. The movement provides the following functions: hours, minutes, dual time zone, power reserve, torque indicator and function selector. The movement boasts exceptional chronometric characteristics.
