Richard Mille holds a big surprise for its fans – it has created a remarkably flat watch - the RM 017 Tourbillon. The extra flat rectangular case of the novelty demonstrates modern elegant lines and accommodates a manual-winding movement. The sophisticated Richard Mille watch has united the technical advancement of the brand’s tourbillion movement with an ultra modern design. The case of the watch is 8.7mm thick.
The Richard Mille watchmakers paid meticulous attention to each part of the timepiece to make it correspond to the brand’s requirements in terms of rigidity, reliability and precision.
The movement plate is produced from grade 2 titanium and provided with a black PVD coating. This way the assembly has acquired supreme rigidity and outstanding flatness of surface, important characteristics for the proper functioning of the gear train.
The brand’s watchmakers have thoroughly studied friction and its influence on the longevity of the movement parts, having found an innovative technical solution - ceramic endstone for the tourbillon. To provide optimal reliability, the creators of the RM 017 Tourbillon watch came up with a barrel pawl with progressive recoil. This system keeps the spring away from overtightening when winding and excludes any risk of knocking the escapement.
The RM 017 Tourbillon watch boasts the function selector developed by the brand based on a car’s gearbox. At 4 o’clock, you will see a needle that indicates the selected mode - winding, neutral or hand-setting.

The Richard Mille RM 017 Tourbillon Extra Flat watch is sure to be highly appreciated by watch lovers due to its architectural design, total ergonomy and comfort.
The timepiece will be available in a numbered limited edition of 50 pieces.
