In 2010, Richard Mille’s ambassador Rafael Nadal won three masters tournaments - Roland Garros, Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows. The tennis star was wearing RM 027 Tourbillon on his wrist. Now, the brand has developed another timepiece for the champion - the RM 035.

The timepiece is animated by a complicated movement that weighs just 4,3 grams - the caliber RMUL1. The manual winding, skeletonized movement has become the first manual winding movement of the brand that received the Chronofiable certification.

The Chronofiable test exposes watches to accelerated ageing testing that lasts 21 days and equals to 6 months of effective wearing. The tests include checking the movement functions, an additional rate, the amplitude test fulfilled at two temperature levels -0°C and 50°C, as well as checking the power reserve and the winding velocity. The tests also imply comprehensive linear and angular accelerations and about 20,000 shocks.

Richard Mille has proudly released its new RM 037 watch. The novelty will experience its world premiere within the framework of the SIHH 2012 event, to be held from January 16th to January 20th.

Beating at the heart of the new Richard Mille watch is a new manufactory-made automatic CRMA1 caliber movement. It is rendered in skeletonized grade 5 titanium and supplies a 50-hour power reserve.

Another subtle identifier of the model is a novel crown mechanism. A special construction, with the crown separated from the case, prevents losing the crown or breaking the stem in the movement. At SIHH 2011, Richard Mille unveiled its new Caliber Extra Flat Automatic RM 033 watch.

The new Richard Mille watch distinguishes from other Richard Mille models of the brand by the round shape of its case that is remarkably thin. The case, 45.7mm in diameter, is sculptured in titanium, 18k white gold or red gold.

The heart of the timepiece, a skeletonized automatic-winding movement, the caliber RMXP1, is just 2.6mm thick, while the case is 6.3mm deep.

To come up with a remarkably thin movement, the watchmakers positioned the automatic-winding micro rotor off-center. The rotor is crafted in solid platinum and has bi-directional winding.
