Raymond Weil to Present Nabucco Rivoluzione Watch at Baselworld 2009

Raymond Weil unveiled its highly successful Nabucco collection in 2007. At Baselworld 2009, the brand is to present a new, exceptional timepiece created as the best reflection of masculine elegance.

The new Nabucco Rivoluzione watch has been completely coated in black, the color of luxury and elegance, the symbol of mystery and power. The watch has acquired its black color due to the PVD metallic coating process that implies the application of a thin film of chromium and titanium carbide.

The timepiece has maintained the distinctive design features of the previously introduced Nabucco watches. It deeply impresses by its outstanding architectural power and smart mixture of materials.

The sleek case of the new Nabucco watch measures 46mm-in-diameter. Together with its circular bezel and tachometer, the case is crafted from titanium and polished and brushed steel as a guarantee of remarkable resistance and endurance. The case sides are decorated using ultra-light, hi-tech carbon fibre for greater solidity and stylish look. The polished steel exterior ring of the bezel features polished 'godron decor' between brushed vertical bands.

The case construction incorporates screwed-down push-pieces, crown and case-back. The crown is fitted with a brushed titanium protection system with black coating. The black titanium case-back features a RW monogram in relief. The watch is 200-meter water-resistant.

The avant-garde dial of the Nabucco Rivoluzione watch is also coated in black. It is completed with three sub-dials: the 30-minutes sub-dial is found at 3 o'clock, the 12-hours sub-dial at 6 o’clock and the 60-seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. You will notice the date-window at 4:30. This central zone in relief is marked by three screws for supreme clarity.

The dial is also completed with perfectly integrated indexes. The blue hands of the sub-dials and the blue chronograph-hand nicely contrast with the black surface.
The dial is shielded by a 2.5mm-thick sapphire crystal provided with double-sided anti-glare treatment.

The chronograph function of the watch is operated with help of the push-piece positioned at 2 o’clock used to start, stop and re-start the chronograph and the push-piece at 4 o’clock used to re-set the chronograph back to zero. To re-set the date, there is the push-button at 10 o’clock.

The Raymond Weil Nabucco Rivoluzione watch is secured to the wrist on an extremely comfortable saddle-stitched crocodylus niloticus leather strap. It is fitted with a folding clasp provided with double push-piece security.

The timepiece is equipped with an ETA 7753 tri-compax automatic movement, operating at a frequency of 28 800 vibrations per hour. The movement gives an advantage of a 46-hour power-reserve.

The Raymond Weil watch is presented in a box-set together with a pair of round cufflinks crafted in carbon fibre and titanium coated in black PVD.
