New Oris RAID 2013 Limited Edition Watch - Devoted to Iconic Jaguar

Jul 16, 2013
Oris pleases its fans by the new RAID 2013 Limited Edition watch. Starting with 2009 the watchmaking company has served as the official timekeeper for the RAID Suisse-Paris, a daring rally for classic cars created prior to 1975. The rally, with Paris as its final destination, represents a 600-mile journey along really picturesque scenery.

The classic cars competing in the rally demonstrate their capacity to withstand the testing demands of the race, while the drivers demonstrate their driving ability and timekeeping.

The new Oris RAID 2013 Limited Edition watch pays tribute to the 23rd edition of the rally. The novelty is devoted to the winner of the 2012 race - the iconic Jaguar 420.

The dial of the new Oris watch reflects the signature features of the Jaguar 420 dashboard. It is also completed with emblematic elements of the winning car - the red triangle and distinctive number font.

The multi-piece case of the watch is rendered in stainless steel and measures 44mm in diameter. It houses an automatic mechanical movement Oris Caliber 775, based on SW 500. It animates the chronograph function, date positioned at 6 oclock and day at 9 oclock.

The face of the watch is protected by a sapphire crystal domed on both sides and provided with inside anti-reflective coating.

The case-construction is 50-meter water-resistant. The screwed case-back features a special engraving.

The new Oris RAID 2013 Limited Edition watch belongs to a limited edition of just 500 pieces. The novelty is coupled with a black leather strap fitted with a stainless steel folding clasp and presented in a luxury wooden box.
