Welcome Oris ProDiver Pointer Moon Watch

May 03, 2013
Oris’s successful ProDiver line welcomes a newcomer - the Oris ProDiver Pointer Moon watch. The novelty represents the world’s first mechanical timepiece that indicates both the lunar cycle and the tidal range.

The new Oris watch has been created to meet the demands of professional divers. It is devoted to the brand’s ambassador and accomplished commercial diver Roman Frischknecht.

With the ProDiver Pointer Moon watch divers no longer need to consult external manuals as the timepiece provides indications of the tidal range and lunar cycle at a glance due to its unique dial design.

The novelty is built with the brand’s patented Rotation Safety System. It implies the watch-wearer can keep track of a certain time period with help of a rotating bezel that can be locked to exclude accidental adjustment. It also incorporates an automatic helium escape valve.

The dial of the new Oris watch features centralized second, minute, hour and pointer moon displays. The hands and applied indices have Superluminova inlays. The date window is positioned at 5 o’clock.

The multi-piece case, rendered in titanium, is 1,000-meter water resistant. The screwed case-back reveals a special engraved meters-feet scale. The face of the ProDiver Pointer Moon watch is shielded by a domed sapphire crystal provided with an inner anti-reflective coating.

The model is animated by an automatic mechanical movement - Oris Cal. 761, based on Sellita SW220.

The innovative Oris ProDiver Pointer Moon watch is available in two versions – for both the northern and southern hemisphere tide range indication.

The novelty is coupled with a rubber strap fitted with a folding buckle and easy-adjustment extension. It is delivered with a special waterproof case and a metal bracelet with special tools for changing the bracelet.
