The functionality of the watch includes hours, minutes and seconds, date and chronograph.
Animating the functions of the new Maurice Lacroix watch is a self-winding, ML 112 calibre movement. The movement incorporates 25 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Rhodium-plated and circular-grained, this mechanism demonstrates snailed finishing with Cotes de Geneve patterns.
All the technical secrets of the watch are housed in a steel case, treated with a black ceramic sand-blasted coating. The dimensions of the case are 38.21mm X 42.85 mm. The case is assembled with a curved sapphire crystal provided with an external and internal anti-reflective treatment. It also exposes a screw-down sapphire back. Incorporated into the case is a lever system, which serves to guide the push-pieces.
The Maurice Lacroix Pontos Chronographe Rectangulaire Full Black watch proudly exposes its velvety black dial. It is completed with facetted black hands, tipped with a coat of white Superluminova. This compound produces a blue luminescent effect, which makes the dial more legible.
The dial is also equipped with hour, minute and small seconds sub-dials, positioned at 6, 12 and 9 o’clock correspondingly. They are kept company by a date aperture, nestled at 3 o’clock.
The novel Maurice Lacroix watch is accompanied by a black reinforced genuine rubber strap, which terminates in a steel buckle, treated with a black ceramic coating. The water-resistance of the watch, reviewed by Watches.InfoNIAC.com, is down to 50 meters.
