Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif Watch - Union of Refined Art and Advanced Technology

Sep 16, 2010
The house of Piaget is excited to unveil its new Polo Tourbillon Relatif watch.

The Piaget one-of-a-kind watch is proposed with an 18-carat white gold case, which measures 25.60 mm in diameter.

On its side the model exposes musical instruments in black grand feu enamelling.

The reverse side of the case features such images as a drum kit and a trumpet, joined by a portrait of a jazzman.

The interior life of the new Polo Tourbillon Relatif watch is represented by the manufactory-made Piaget 608P mechanical hand-wound flying tourbillon movement.

Suspended from the minute hand, the tourbillon carriage demonstrates 3 titanium bridges. It rotates once per minute on its own axis.

With the center of rotation in the middle of the watch, the minute hand, in its turn, accomplishes one full revolution per hour.

The mechanism mentioned proudly reveals a circular Cotes de Geneve pattern, mainplate and bridges circular-grained by hand, beveled hand-drawn bridges and carriage as well as blued screws.

Adorned with 27 jewels, the caliber operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a respectable 68-hour power reserve.

The new Piaget watch is coupled with a black alligator leather strap. It is finalized by a folding clasp, crafted from 18-carat white gold.
